Victor Hill Wines, located in Sonoma, CA, makes small lot premium wines produced exclusively from grapes grown in top Sonoma County locations. All of our grapes are from such great vineyards as Sangiacomo and Bush vineyards in the Carneros AVA of Sonoma County, and Madrone Ridge Vineyards in the hills just east of the town of Sonoma - and always from only Sonoma County.
We pride ourselves on our distinct style of winemaking, our unique varietals, and our level of craftsmanship. All of our wines are made by hand, in small quantities, some as little as one barrel. We hold to traditional ways, 'old world' and classic. Not over extracted, tannic or flabby. Just pure, true to the varietal wines.
Each vintage is produced at it's optimum time, waiting for the perfect moment to pick our fruit - perfect sugar levels, perfect acidity, perfect color and above all, perfect quality.
With over 35 years of winemaking experience, Vic McWilliams produces some of the most sought after wines in the world. We invite you to try our wines, share them with your friends and family, or just keep them to yourself! Come see why we have been awarded nearly 40 Medals in just 4 years. Come taste passion! C'est si bon!
Winemaker and proprietor Vic McWilliams has over thirty years experience making award winning wines and managing vineyards in Sonoma. A North Dakota native, and former owner of Castle Winery, Vic has been making wine in Sonoma Valley since 1978. He is known for his award-winning, must-have, signature Pinot Noirs, Sauvignon Blanc, and Rhone varietals (including vineyard designated Viognier, Marsanne, Roussanne, Cinsaut, Grenache, Syrah and late harvest wines)
Tom Hill, co-proprietor of Victor Hill Wines, grew up in a small town in Germany near the ancient wine-producing region of Franconia and developed an early appreciation for the art and craft of winemaking. He subsequently lived in France and Switzerland and further deepened his love of wine, especially those from Burgundy and the Rhone Valley. Tom is every bit as committed as Vic to producing the best wines from the best, strictly local, vineyards.
